Labour Information Systems (LIS) and Labour Monitoring Systems (LMS)

The action is developed within the scope of two complementary themes: labour information systems (LIS) and labour monitoring systems (LMS), essential tools for effective planning, implementation and monitoring of labour policies in general, and for youth employment in particular. Although the countries participating in this action have particular features, in technical terms all have the same objectives: design and structure models for employment services that are accessible to citizens; and have tools for analysing and assessing the efficiency of policies that are comparable at the regional level.

Specifically this action addresses:

  • The management of programmes, systems and employment services.
  • Models for public employment services.
  • Training for operators of public employment services
  • Creation of cross-cutting competencies and methods for their assessment and development
  • Work with the labour observatories, using data analysis methodologies, so that the data can be used for assessment purposes.
