Panama participates in five thematic areas (Health, Public Finance, Social Dialogue, Justice, and Citizen Security). Some noteworthy initiatives: 

• In the area of taxation, it participates in improving its methodology and procedures regarding transfer prices. In the area of tax reform, it is supporting proper design of budget programmes.
• Creation and implementation of three protocols for strengthening the investigative capacity of public ministries in cases of gender violence, improving attention to victims by the Ministry of Justice, and coordinating the intervention of all the stakeholders in the protection of victims.

• In the area of Health, support for the design and implementation of a human resources information system in health, and support for implementation of a national system of distribution and storage of medicines.
