The Transparency and Information Access Network (RTA in its Spanish acronym) was created in 2011 and is made up of 13 countries and one international foundation. The RTA was formed as a formal space for dialogue and cooperation to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences in the area of transparency and access to information among its members. It aims to be a leader in peer-to-peer learning, thereby contributing to the construction of systems of accountability and to the strengthening of public management.
The cooperation between the RTA and EUROsociAL arises from the recognition of information access, transparency and accountability as key elements in the construction of modern democracies, and expands the possibilities of sharing experiences and best practices, both among countries in the Latin American region and between the two regions.
